Getting Started Information for New Clients
Getting started with TLC Therapy Services is simple and straightforward. We’re here to make the process as smooth as possible for you and your family. We’re currently accepting new clients and have no waiting list!
We serve families in Sugar Hill, Buford, Flowery Branch, Oakwood, Braselton and surrounding areas in North Georgia. Here’s everything you need to know to get started:
Step 1: Contact Us
Reach out to us by phone or email to schedule an evaluation. We’ll need to gather some basic information about your child, which we’ll send to you via email for completion before your first appointment.
Step 2: Obtain a ReferraL
We’ll need to get a prescription (or referral) from your child’s pediatrician. This step is crucial as it helps us understand your child’s specific needs and ensures they receive coordinated care. Once we have the referral, we can schedule an evaluation.
Step 3: Schedule an Evaluation
Your child’s first visit will be an hour-long evaluation session. During this time, our therapist will speak with you to discuss your concerns and spend time building a rapport with your child. The evaluation will include observations and standardized testing as needed to assess your child’s strengths and limitations.
At the end of the session, the therapist will share their findings and recommendations with you. We will then write up a plan of care, which will be sent back to your pediatrician for their signature.
Step 4: Begin Therapy
Once we have the necessary approvals from your insurance provider and your child’s pediatrician, we can get started with therapy right away.
